Cary Flanagan
AUTHOR
Cary Flanagan was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, spending most of her summers at her family's log cabin by a lake in central New Hampshire. She has been a writer most of her life and a quilter since 1991. After a twenty-year career in Mental Health and Social Services, she left full-time work in 2004 to become a writer, quilt pattern designer, and teacher. She established Something Sew Fine Quilt Design at that time. Her first novel, 'After the Storm', was published in 2016, followed by a second edition of 'After the Storm' and its sequel, 'Sarah's Quest', in 2021. 'A Quilter's Heritage: Becca's Story' followed in 2025. Cary holds a BA in Sociology and Anthropology and an M.Ed. in Counseling. She lives with her husband, Ron, and their much-loved rescue dog, Nyxie, in Southern New Hampshire.
